MIND GAMES contains 4 series of drawings made between 2016 & 2023 inspired by sport events and clothing.
‘Tokyo’64’ and ‘Sapporo’72’ are inspired by the Japanese Olympic Games archives, especially by the abstract shapes that can be found in bodies and sportwear distorted by movements.
‘Hiking Patrol’ is based on HP’s social media content, turned into graphite drawings related to lifestyle and outdoor exploration. Initially published in a tabloid newspaper format (out of print), this reissue includes 3 additional drawings.
‘Hanafuda’ is a collection of drawings that mix patterns of Japanese baseball players and hanafuda playing cards. Previously issued in 2016 (out of print), this new printing is made from the Riso pages of the original Zine to preserve its raw and crispy render.
